A native of Brooklyn, New York, Elena L. Greenberg is a graduate of the University of Rochester and St. John's Law School. After having been admitted to the New York State Bar in 1983, Ms. Greenberg has concentrated almost exclusively in matrimonial law in her over 30 years of practice. Ms. Greenberg joined forces with Florence Fass in 2001, and is a partner in the Garden City firm of Fass & Greenberg, LLP; one of the top matrimonial law firms on Long Island. Ms. Greenberg is the Past Chair of the Technology and Practice Management Committee of the Nassau County Bar Association, member of the New York State Bar Association (Family Law Section), and a founding member and Master of the New York Family Law American Inns of Court in Nassau County. In addition to her extensive trial experience, Ms. Greenberg is a certified mediator, having completed two courses in both New York and California. She has been a matrimonial fee dispute arbitrator since 1994 and served as an adjunct faculty member for Hofstra Law School Trial Advocacy from 1999 through 2003. Ms. Greenberg has lectured to the Nassau County Supreme Court Judges, as well as attorneys for their continuing legal education for the New York State Bar Association and Nassau County Bar Association, and accountants and other financial professionals. In addition to lecturing, Ms. Greenberg was a featured columnist on matrimonial law for the New York Law Journal, i.e., "Applying College Credits in Divorce Cases" (February 2008) and "How to Deal with CSSA COLA Adjustments in Child Support Agreements" (May 2008). Ms. Greenberg is rated "AV" in the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory and has been named a New York "SuperLawyer" since 2010. She has also been listed in Pulse Magazine's "Top Legal Eagles - Long Island" from 2009 to the present, and named as one of the Ten Leaders of Women of the Law on Long Island by Digital Press. Outside of the office, Ms. Greenberg is a history buff and a competitive tennis player.
